Bob Kelly is a NYC-based pianist, composer, and music director.

His work as a music director, pianist, and orchestrator/arranger for musical theatre includes productions and educational programs throughout NYC and across the country. Recently: West Side Story with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra (Asst. MD), Finding Home, the songs of Ricky Ian Gordon (NYU Steinhardt: MD and Orchestrations); NYU New Student Cabaret; Spring Awakening (NYU Steinhardt Stage Company); Thoroughly Modern Millie (Engeman Theater: Assoc. Conductor); Amazing Grace (Broadway: Keys Sub, Music Asst.).

His work as a composer has been supported by: the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, the Yale Institute for Music Theatre, The Gallery Players, Prospect Theater Company, NY Theatre Barn, Leviathan Lab, NYU CDP Series, Theatre Now NY, New Musicals Inc., and the Festival of New American Musicals in LA.

Bob is from the Twin Cities, MN, and is a graduate of St. Olaf College and the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. He was the 2013 recipient of the ASCAP Foundation Max Dreyfus Scholarship for musical theatre composition, and is a member of Local 802 AFM, ASCAP, and the Dramatists Guild.
